Barcelona won 2-0 against Xerez
Henry and Ibra scored for Barcelona
Barcelona started the night with their main star on the bench, Messi, Ibra, Iniesta, Puyol were all on the bench. Xerez did showed some fight against Barcelona but it was Henry and Ibrahimovic goal which put Barcelona five point above Real Madrid.
Both side played well, even tough Xerez are at the bottom of the table, they played a very desciplined game and thats what kept them away from getting hammered by Barcelona. The pitch also played its part of spoiling the game as the pitch was dull it wasnt easy to play.
Just after the start of second half, Maxwell send a cross toward Henry who headed in from close range. After the goal Xerez started to open up to find the equaliser goal which gave both side a chance to scored. Pep Guardiola then added Messi and Ibrahimovic to strengthen the side as he didnt wanted to take any chances, later on he also added Iniesta. They showed their impact on the game with all three getting chance to score, with Messi just hitting the post which went to Iniesta but because of the wet ground he wasnt able to capitalize on the ball and finally Ibrahomivoc chipped over goalkeepers head to make it 2-0 for Barcelona after receiving a superb pass from Lionel Messi.
Barcelona are now five points above Real Madrid and will be ready to face the rest of the season as they have plenty of matches and no matches are going to be easy for them. But after all, Barcelona are the team who won treble in similar kind of fashion, where people pointed out that they will be tired after playing so much game and Real Madrid will pass them, but that didnt happenned. So its going to be same this year too
