Barca stays on top with a win over Xerez

Barcelona were able to collect all three points against Xerez last evening, as we keep our 1 point lead over Real Madrid. It was really wonderful to see Yaya Toure getting a chance to prove himself against Xerez and he proved why he should be a part of team against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

It was expected that Pep Guardiola will be resting his star players against Xerez but he still kept the option open if the situation demanded the introduction of his key players. Barcelona started really well as we scored two goals in 23 minute, with Jeffren and Henry giving Barcelona the chance to relax but it just took one minute for Xerez to put Barcelona under pressure after scoring their first goal of the night. They even got a lot more chances as our defense struggled to keep them out.

Xerez started really well in the second half with getting few more chances to equalize but again heroic saves from Valdes helped us to keep the one goal lead, but soon Guardiola realised that its not going according to his plans and decided to introduce the Messi and Pique which helped Barca to gain more control of the game and soon after few minute, Yaya Toure created an amazing goal for Ibrahimovic who didnt failed to score to gave Barcelona the two goal lead over Xerez. After that it was Barca who controlled the game, which put a lot of pressure on Xerez and they started committing fouls and going crazy. Messi also got a chance get on the scorecard but Ibrahimovic setting up Messi but it was ruled offside and another one with the freekick which landed in goalkeeper hand.

Xerez players really lost their mind in the ending moments of the match with Alustiza getting a red card after a bad challenge on Messi, even before that there was some player fighting with Bojan, cant remember him, but Bojan didnt even touched him and he caught his face and started crying as if Bojan hurted him.. Hahaha.. I was thinking what would happen even if Bojan might have hit him. Then again there was an unnecessary challenge on Bojan from Orellana who also got a red card, they really played a good game against Barca but they didnt ended the match really well. They got nine yellow card and two red card which tells the whole story of what happened to them in the last moment.

It was really nice to see Barca players wearing T-shirt with message “Ens Hi Deixem La Pell” which means that “We will give everything“, thats right, Barca will give everything to win against Inter Milan on Wednesday, with Camp Nou fans shouting for them, they will give everything they have got and I hope they can turn it around
