Messi shortlisted for Fifa World Player of the year 2009
As if we didnt knew that he wont be shortlisted for the FIFA World Plyaer of the year 2009, and I can even tell you the results, but I wont. Let it remain a suspense 
Messi worked very hard last season, he also have won a Olympic Gold Medal, Treble Winner, and also many Individuals awards that he have received this season can only lead everyone to one conclusion, that who is the winner of FIFA World Player of the year 2009.
Messi clearly the winner, but you should not forget the team-mate, who helped Messi to achieves the goals in 2009. Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol and Henry are also shortlisted for FIFA World Player of the year 2009. Ibrahimovic and Eto’o who are also nominated, but have switched. Barcelona have six players who are shortlisted for FIFA Player of year 2009.
Anyways, its just going to be another formality that we will have to wait and watch

Messi wants to win for Argentina
After having a great start with Barcelona, Messi want to continue the same against Brazil and win it for Argentina. Messi have been given permission to rest and be fit for the match against Brazil. Argentina are in very critical position right now in the table. They must win all their remaining matches, so they be in safe position.
The key will be to keep possession and try to win from the first minute.
I have won very important titles with Barcelona, and to beat Brazil and qualify for the World Cup would be the best achievement. Winning this match, and the one against Paraguay, would be a great step.
I am immensely happy that the game is being played in Rosario.
Argentina will have to play for their life, if they want to qualify for the World Cup. Brazil are current leader in the table and it will not be easy to win against them. But as the match is in Rosario, which might add up to their advantage.

Barcelona have won UEFA Super Cup 2009

Barcelona have won their first UEFA Super Cup
It wasnt a easy match for Barcelona, as it took 115 minute to break the deadlock, which was broken by Pedro with a superb clever pass from Messi. Messi was correct about Shaktar, that it wont be easy but at the end, Barcelona made it and Messi have won his first UEFA Super Cup. Thankssssss to Pedro and Messi 
It couldnt have been so special for Barcelona and Messi fans, Messi winning the best forward and footballer of the year and next day Barcelona grabbing another cup. It has been a great start once again for Barcelona. Grabbing two cup in one week and they will defending their La Liga title from Monday.
Barcelona were on the go from the first minute of the match, Barcelona had almost 60+ possession of the ball. Messi really wanted the cup, and it really showed by the effort he was taking as he always do. It was almost full time and it looked like it would go on to extra time. When Messi rushed towards the penalty area, but wasnt able to capitalize on the ball, which really frustated him. Messi pushed the defender and then Messi was booked for bull fighting with the defender 
In the extra time, Messi really showed some of his great moves and started heading towards the goal, hit many shots but was unable to put it passed the goalkeeper. Bojan then got the chance to score a goal but was again stopped by the defenders. Pedro who came for Ibrahimovic also started pressuring the defenders, and he also got booked for throwing himself in the penalty area. Thats bad. I am talking about Referee not Pedro, they defender just sandwitch him, what was he suppose to do. Anyways, on the 115th minute, Pedro got the ball and was taking the defenders on, and then he passed it to Messi thinking Messi is god and he will score , but Messi was very calm and nice, and said, I got two awards last night, so its better you take this one and smartly pass it to Pedro and Pedro didnt missed it. But every thought, Messi scored it, but then they realised, its Pedro
It is really great for Messi as its his first UEFA Super Cup and will be looking to add more title to his awards tally

Lionel Messi – European Club Forward and Footballer of the year 2009
Two awards in one night, Leo Messi have been awarded with UEFA Club Forward of the year and UEFA Footballer of the year 2009. Xavi is also announced as Mid Fielder of the year.
Messi was always favorite in every way and deserved to be UEFA forward and footballer of the year. Denis Law was on stage to present the forward of the year, nominees were: Samuel Eto’o, Ronaldo and Messi. And the winner is Lionel Messi
Messi was asked for his most cherish moments of the year,
It’s really difficult to pick just one. It was an unbelievable year which gave me so much happiness and success.
And then UEFA Player of the year were asked to come forward for announcing the European Footballer of the year 2009
Messi, Xavi, Terry and Ven de Sar all came on the stage, and again Messi was chosen the European Footballer of the year 2009.
Messi have been superb in all the field last year. I hope Messi keep performing superbly and Messi won every award
Champions League Group Stage was also drawn, Barcelona are in Group F along with Barcelona, Inter Milan, Dynamo Kyiv and Rubin Kazan.
Barcelona will be playing for European Super Cup against Shaktar tomorrow @ 20:45 CEST
