Uruguay did played well, but it wasnt enough for them to stop Argentina destiny. Argentina did qualified, but still they have to improve a lot. They will need to have a settled squad, its time to get their best team together for the World Cup.

Messi is yet to show his magic for Argentina. But I am sure, when Argentina get more time to spend with their squad, they will have enough time to plan and practice. Messi is the best player in the world, there is no doubt about it. So people who are critising him, should understand that. A team cannot depend on one person and Messi still play the same, so Argentina will need to build a team, which understand each other very well, that’s the only way Argentina have a chance to win the World Cup.

Messi toughest challenge of his career

Lionel Messi have arrived at Beunos Aires.  He landed today morning to prepare for the last two important match to qualify for the world cup against Peru and Uruguay. Argentina will have to win both of their matches to have the chance to qualify for the world cup. Argentina are currently going through a bad phase, Messi who look in great shape will have to take up the challenge and help Argentina to qualify and hope that Ecuador losses one or both of their matches.

Messi will have facing his toughest challenge of his career and if he is able to lead Argentina to World Cup, it would be just amazing. Maradona was known for his one man army attitude. Messi will also have to fight alone, if he doesnt get help from his team-mate.

Yes, its now or never for Argentina. One match lost, and its all over

Messi – Argentina will qualify for the world cup

After playing superb in Barcelona, Messi believe that Barcelona are doing very well, they word hard in every match and they maintain their game. Barcelona have won their 4 games and will looked stronger and stronger.

Barça are doing very well and playing great. We have to work hard in every match and nobody is giving us anything. From the start of each game we maintain our play right up until the end.

Messi is also enjoying the goals and also admitted that when he score goals for the team, it makes him more happy.

I smile a lot more if I score, It is a reason to be happy. But I feel confident and that is because I am fortunate enough to play alongside players that are outstanding and that allows me to be calm.

We want to continue to win things, This team has a great mentality and personality.

Laporta said that he sees Messi as a leader in the Barcelona team, but Messi seems to have different thought,

In this squad there are no leaders, I feel just like any other player in a great team. We are very united and each one of us knows what we have to do on the pitch.

Going with the wonderful form, Messi also hoped that they could qualify for the World Cup,

Argentina will qualify, It is what we all really want and we will go for it.

Messi wasnt keen to compare his performance with Barcelona and Argentina,

I would like to play for my country like I do for Barcelona. I will try to improve my game in Argentina, because it isn’t the same as here…I will do this calmly.

Argentina are currently in the 5th position, just 1 point behind to take the 4th position. They will have to win their remaining matches to have a chance to qualify for the World Cup.

World Cup dream almost out of reach for Argentina

Argentina have lost their 4th position in the table and their lost against Paraguay have made it difficult for them to qualify for the World Cup. Messi and company have lost their last 4 matches in their 5 world cup qualifier.

Argentina will have to win their last two games and hoping Ecuador lose their last two games, is the only possible way that Argentina can qualify. But they cannot depend on others to qualify, they had their chances which they couldnt take and now its time for their luck but same time, they will have to win.

Messi also tried his best to get Argentina back in the game, but again his effort was wide. Messi cannot be blamed, as we all know, he is always tightly marked, the defender decided to stop him at any cost. Maradona will be on fire again as they have kept losing the game. Not sure, who is to be blamed but Argentina have lost their place to get quaified for the World Cup

Paraguay vs Argentina – Its now or never

A difficult time for Argentina, Argentina cannot depend on their luck time this time. They will have to win, to stay in safe position. Its now or never for Argentina, Messi want to play for World Cup, we all want that to happen. Argentina will have to play like a team, they will have to overcome their weekness.

Paraguay are within reach of qualifying and they would also want to go for win, but Argentina will have to prove everyone wrong. Everyone has been talking about the resignation of Maradona, but the most important thing should have been concentrating on the match.

Argentina are likely to start with Aguero who will be replacing Tevez and playing with Messi.

Argentina lost against Brazil (1-3)

Messi wish to win against their rival Brazil was not fulfill as Argentina lost 1-3 against Brazil. Argentina started very well and they looked in firing start, with Messi striking from a long distance but the shot was wide. Argentina couldnt continue the same fire, as Brazil started taking control over the game after their first goal. And soon it was 2-0.

Messi tried to dribble past the defender, but he was marked very well by the Brazilian player, who didnt gave him much roam to play his game. After entry of Sergio Aguero in the second half, it looked like, there will be chances created for Argentina, but they couldnt capitalize on the game. Suddenly, Argentina got the chance to get back into the game after the 30 yard shot from Datolo went to the top right corner. But Luis Fabiano again scored for Brazil and made it out of reach for Argentina.

Luckily, Argentina are still in 4th position in the table, after Ecuador lost against Colombio, and still 3 matches remaining. Argentina still have the chance to get into the World Cup 2010, so dont just give it away now, we will be able to see Messi playing in the World Cup 2010.

Messi wants to win for Argentina

After having a great start with Barcelona, Messi want to continue the same against Brazil and win it for Argentina. Messi have been given permission to rest and be fit for the match against Brazil. Argentina are in very critical position right now in the table. They must win all their remaining matches, so they be in safe position.

The key will be to keep possession and try to win from the first minute.

I have won very important titles with Barcelona, and to beat Brazil and qualify for the World Cup would be the best achievement. Winning this match, and the one against Paraguay, would be a great step.

I am immensely happy that the game is being played in Rosario.

Argentina will have to play for their life, if they want to qualify for the World Cup. Brazil are current leader in the table and it will not be easy to win against them. But as the match is in Rosario, which might add up to their advantage.

Messi might miss match against Athletic Bilbao

First, Doctors have ruled out any serious injury, so just relax now and thanks for praying

Messi will still be examined in Barcelona just to make sure, he will be fit, but there is a possibility that Messi might miss the next match against Athletic Bilbao will be held on 16th August 2009.

On August 28, I will be at the European Super Cup, no doubt. The problem is the next match.

Therefore, I already spoke with Pep Guardiola and Diego Maradona, to see if I can travel to Argentina immediately after the match with Shakhtar.

Fortunately, Pep is a very intelligent person and we have a great relationship. We still have to meet and talk to see what is best for everyone.

Messi have also indicated that he might miss some league matches to be fit for the crucial match against Brazil that will be held on 5th September
